The Elmstead Remodeling Ventura Guarantee
Here’s what our guarantee means in plain terms. When we finish a remodel in your Ventura home, we stand behind the work for a full year. If something is not done right, we make it right. That’s not a slogan, it’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise, stamped on every project we complete. You’ll never have to chase us down, wait through a phone tree, or prove your case to three different people. You call, a live person answers, and we schedule the fix. That’s the whole promise. We put it in writing before the first nail goes in, and we honor it after the last drop cloth comes up.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every trade. Tile that cracks, a cabinet door that hangs crooked, a fixture that drips, trim that pulls away from the wall, all of it falls under the Done Right Promise for 365 days after project completion.
- Materials from brands you can verify. We install cabinets from KraftMaid and Wellborn, countertops from Cambria, Silestone, and Caesarstone, and fixtures from Kohler, Moen, and Grohe. Each carries its own manufacturer warranty, and we’ll hand you the paperwork for every product we put in.
- Written pricing before work starts. You get a line-by-line price on paper before a crew ever parks in front of your house. No allowances that balloon, no “we discovered something” surprise charges, no estimate that grows after the crew arrives.
- Cleanup documented with a photo. Every job ends with a photographic record of the clean-up before our crew leaves. You don’t have to trust that we tidied up. You’ll see it.
- Protection for your floors and home. Shoe covers at the door and drop cloths on every floor surface on every visit. It’s included on every job, not charged as an add-on.
- Quiet hours respected. Where possible, we run quiet tools during family rest hours. That matters when you have a newborn napping in the next room or a toddler who goes down at one.
- Pet-safe product choices. When there’s an option between two products and one is safer for your animals, we choose the safer one. We’ll tell you what we’re using and why.

Our Satisfaction Promise
If something isn’t right after we’ve finished, here’s exactly what happens. You call (341) 218-4316. A live person picks up, not a voicemail box, not a bot, not a message that sits unreturned until Monday morning. You tell us what’s wrong. We put you on the schedule and send a crew to look at it. If the issue falls under the 365-Day Done Right Promise, we fix it at no cost to you and we don’t make you feel like you’re asking for a favor. Graham Stein, the owner, is the one who makes sure that happens. He’s been on too many jobs where the finish looked good for three weeks and then the grout started to fail. That’s why the promise exists. We’d rather fix a problem at week forty than have you wonder whether we meant what we said at week one.
This is not a limited warranty with forty exclusions in fine print. If our workmanship did not hold up, we own it. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to across Ventura, from Midtown bungalows to College Area ranches to the hillside homes above Foothill Road.
Licensed & Insured Backing
A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it. We carry state-required licensing and insurance for every trade we perform, and we’re bonded as well. What that means for you is simple. If a worker is hurt on your property, our insurance covers it, not your homeowner’s policy. If a sub-contractor fails to perform, our bond is there. That’s the real guarantee behind the paperwork, the thing that separates a professional remodel from a handshake deal with someone who has a truck and a ladder. We’ll show you our credentials before we start, because you should never have to ask twice. In Ventura County, where unlicensed work surfaces regularly after storm season and during the spring remodel rush, that distinction matters. The guarantee means something because the company making it has the structure to back it up.

AfterHow the 365-Day Done Right Promise Works
The process starts before we agree to work together. You get a written price. That document spells out the scope, the materials, and the line-item costs. It’s not an estimate and it’s not a range. It’s the number you’ll pay, assuming the scope stays the same. We explain the price before the work, not after the invoice. That’s one of the C.A.R.E. values we hold to on every Elmstead Remodeling Ventura job: Clean up like it is our own home. Ask before we move or touch anything. Respect the family’s time and quiet hours. Explain the price before the work.
Then the work happens. Our crew wears uniforms and has passed background checks, so you know exactly who is walking through your door. They bring drop cloths and shoe covers as standard equipment, not as a line item. During the job, we’ll ask before touching or moving anything in the work area. If your garage serves as the staging spot, we’ll tell you what’s coming in and out.
At the end of the job, before the crew leaves, we photograph the clean-up. That photo is yours. If you look at it at 9:00 PM and something seems off, call us. We answer. That’s the point of having a live person on the other end of the line around the clock.
Then, for 365 days after the final walkthrough, the promise stays active. If a drawer front loosens, if a section of baseboard pulls away, if a tile develops a hairline crack from poor setting, that’s on us. We schedule the repair, we send the crew, and we make it right. No debate about whether it’s wear and tear. No waiting for a manager to call back. The promise is the promise.
What the Guarantee Means for Large Projects

A kitchen remodel or whole-home renovation in Ventura is a six-figure decision for many families. The guarantee should be commensurate with that. That’s why Graham Stein structured the Done Right Promise the way he did. On a kitchen, you’re not just buying cabinets and counters. You’re buying the sequence: demo goes right, plumbing rough-in passes inspection, the floor goes down level, the cabinets hang plumb and square, the counter fabricator templates correctly, the tile backsplash goes up without lippage, the fixture installation doesn’t leak. Every step along that sequence carries the same one-year protection after the project closes.
For bathrooms, the guarantee covers the water-facing components, which is where remodels most often fail. Shower pans that don’t slope properly, waterproofing that fails behind tile, valve rough-ins that drip inside the wall, all of it falls under the same Done Right window. In Ventura’s coastal air, with its higher humidity against homes near the beach, proper waterproofing is not optional. We stand behind ours for a full year, and the Schluter systems we use carry their own manufacturer coverage on top of that.
Questions We Answer Often
Does the guarantee cost extra?
No. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is included on every project. It’s not an upcharge, not an extended warranty you have to buy separately, and not a limited-time offer. It’s the baseline.
What if I notice something wrong at month eleven?
Call (341) 218-4316. If the issue falls under the workmanship coverage of the Done Right Promise, we schedule the repair, period. We’d rather send a crew for one afternoon than have you question the whole job.
Will the price change once work starts?
No, not unless the scope changes. If you ask us to add a project to the original plan, we’ll put that new scope in writing and you’ll approve it before we start that portion. The original written price for the original scope does not move. That’s part of explaining the price before the work.
Do you pull permits for work that needs them?
Yes. For any work in Ventura that requires a permit, we handle the permit application, schedule the inspections, and make sure the job passes before we consider it complete. A guarantee means more when the work was done to code in the first place.
What about the manufacturer warranties?
Every brand-name product we install carries its own manufacturer warranty, and those warranties travel with the finished project. We’ll provide the documentation. For cabinets from KraftMaid and Wellborn, counters from Cambria, Silestone, and Caesarstone, and fixtures from Kohler, Moen, and Grohe, you can look up the warranty terms yourself and verify exactly what’s covered, independent of anything we tell you. That’s the point of using name-brand materials instead of no-name imports.
Call for a Written Price, Before the Work

The guarantee starts with a conversation. Call (341) 218-4316 and a live person will answer. We’ll schedule a walkthrough of your Ventura home, and you’ll get a written price before any work starts. You’ll know the cost, the scope, the materials, and the protection. No guesswork, no surprises. Graham Stein and the team at Elmstead Remodeling Ventura will take it from there.
